Extended Hours Now Through April 27!

Posted on 16 April 2012 by Bo Baker

We see you out there. Red-eyed and tired. Stumbling around all pajama-ed and stressed. Uncertain of your academic fate that’s unraveling over the next two weeks as you wrap up classes and projects and prepare for finals.

Now you could put off the work and wrap up in a flurry of mediocre last-minute haste. Or you could just give up and let the universe do what it will. Or you could take charge of your finals destiny like a … like a … three-headed dragon that shoots freaking lasers from two of your mouths and, apparently, one of your left eyes … for some reason.

DESTROY ALL FINALS!

To help you along the path of complete and utter finals decimation, the library will be opening a little early and staying open late for the next two weeks. Here’s the schedule:

Mon. April 16: 7:30 a.m.–2 a.m.
Tue. April 17: 7:30 a.m.–2 a.m.
Wed. April 18: 7:30 a.m.–2 a.m.
Thu. April 19: 7:30 a.m.–2 a.m.
Fri. April 20: 7:30 a.m.–8 p.m.
Sat. April 21: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Sun. April 22: 12 Noon–2 a.m.

Mon. April 23: 7:30 a.m.–2 a.m.
Tue. April 24: 7:30 a.m.–2 a.m.
Wed. April 25: 7:30 a.m.–2 a.m.
Thu. April 26: 7:30 a.m.–2 a.m.
Fri. April 27: 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

Shut up, finals!

Library Survey was a Success

Posted on 09 April 2012 by Bo Baker

The Library survey was a rousing success this year, with over 1300 responses from students, faculty, and staff. We’ll take the next few weeks to analyze the data, and see how you think we’re doing. Thanks again for a great response!

There are a lot of things we would like to implement in order to improve the library space: a mac-and-cheese buffet, jam-proof printers, institutionalized nap time, an elevator that doesn’t eat people … and that’s all well and good, but what we really need is to hear your feedback. Head over to our online survey for a few minutes to let us know what we’re doing well, what we can do better, and what new services you would like to see at the library.
To sweeten the deal, we’re drawing one lucky winner for a new Kindle Fire!
The survey ends April 23, so why not just fill it out now?
